BB-8 and his evil counterpart to become playable characters in Star Wars Battlefront 2

EA has announced that BB-8 and his evil droid counterpart will both be playable characters in a new Star Wars Battlefront 2 update. Both droids will move incredibly fast in the game and will have very different roles within their respective teams. The update will launch on February 3rd after having been delayed a few days.

Ubisoft says coronavirus will slow down Rainbow Six Siege development

French video game studio Ubisoft has announced that the coronavirus has disrupted the company's regular operations. They have said that development on most of their projects, such as the incredibly popular Rainbow Six Siege, will have to either pause or at least slow down for the foreseeable future. The company has enacted a work from home policy for its employees.

EA suspends all esports events, including FIFA and Apex Legends tournament

EA has announced that all of its scheduled live esports events have been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus. This includes what would have been the first-ever Apex Legends major as well as FIFA and Madden NFL tournaments. Online events will still take place however and it is unclear when things will return to normal.
