Bossa Studios announces Surgeon Simulator sequel
The original Surgeon Simulator hit game was released in 2013, by indie developers Bossa Studios, building on a prototype made by an employee in just under 48 hours for the Global Game Jam competition. The company recently released a trailer for a sequel to Surgeon Simulator featuring multiplayer co-op supporting up to four players, which will be available on the Epic Games store in 2020.

Epic Games acquires facial mapping company
Epic Games, the developers of Fornite, which has been the bestselling game in the world for two years, and also the creators of the Unreal Engine, have acquired a UK-based facial recognition and mapping startup called Cubic Motion, in order to be able to capture much more realistic facial animations for their characters. Cubic Motion's technology was previously featured on the popular God of War and Spiderman game series.

Adam Sussman, a former executive at athletics and footwear company Nike with over 22 years of experience in the gaming industry, having worked for Zynga, Disney and EA, has now been appointed President of Epic Games, developer of Fortnite, which has remained the world's bestselling game for two consecutive years. Microsoft announces Halo Infinite will be coming to the Xbox soon
Microsoft has announced the next game in the wildly popular Halo franchise, Halo Infinite will be released in late 2020 on its new family of Xbox consoles, the Series X, though the game will still be playable on the previous generations of Xbox. Like previous games in the Halo franchise, Infinite will feature the classic split-screen multiplayer co-op that the game first became known for.
