Final Destination producer, Craig Perry, has recently revealed that the next film in the franchise will focus on the world of EMT's and first responders. He said that this setting could allow for some very interesting set pieces and a new more unique take on the classic Final Destination formula.

John Lafia, who directed the horror film Child’s Play 2 and co-wrote Child’s Play, died by suicide this week in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office.
