Indian courts refuse to intervene in the situation surrounding the new citizenship bill

India's Supreme Court has refused to put a hold on the new citizenship bill despite numerous claims that the law is unconstitutional. Lawyers are arguing that since the law discriminates between people based on religion it goes against India's secular constitution. Protests against the law have spread all over the country and have even led to the deaths of 30 people.
