Korean film 'Parasite' has been declared best film of the year by American critics
The National Society of Film Critics has announced its annual awards, naming Parasite the best film of the year. The voting took place in New York and LA, with 38 different critics placing their votes. Parasite also managed to get the best screenplay award but the best cinematography award went to 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire'.

John Lafia, who directed the horror film Child’s Play 2 and co-wrote Child’s Play, died by suicide this week in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office.
