Lyft continues to receive driver sexual assault allegations

Lyft, a popular ridesharing app, is being sued by over 20 people who claim to have been abused or raped by drivers they found via the app. They have accused the company of not taking any safety measures to prevent such things from happening. Lyft has since released a number of safety updates but none have fully satisfied the plaintiffs.

Lyft restarts bike rental program in the New York City

San Francisco-based ridesharing company Lyft has restarted its electric bike rental program in New York City after a 10-month long hiatus, due to user complaints about injuries caused by widespread braking failures. Electric and non-electric bikes will be available at any of 900 Citi-Bike stations, with electric bikes costing 15 cents per minute, 10 for annual subscribers, and non-electric bikes costing a flat rate of 3 USD per 30-minute trip.
