Only top athletes will be allowed to compete in this year's Tokyo Marathon

Organizers of this year's Tokyo Marathon have announced that the event will only be open to elite athletes due to the spread of the coronavirus in the country. The event is normally one of the biggest marathons in the world, attracting up to 37,000 people. People who have already registered can defer their registration to next year.
