Twitter removes thousands of Saudi accounts from their site

Twitter has removed 5.929 Saudi accounts from their platform, claiming that all the accounts were backed by the state. These accounts were said to be creating positive propaganda for the Saudi government, posting most of the content in Arabic. Twitter has been trying to tackle misinformation on its platform for some years now.

Turkish prosecutors indict 20 suspects for Khashoggi killing

Prosecutors in Istanbul have said that they have prepared an indictment against 20 suspects in the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. The indictment accuses the head of Saudi Arabia's general intelligence and a top advisor to the royal family of masterminding the murder.

Saudi royals arrested over the alleged attempted coup

According to some insider sources, Saudi Arabia has detained the King's younger brother and nephew for attempting a coup to take over the kingdom. The king signed off on the arrests and has accused the royals of treason. Many saw the King's brother as the only other person who could take over while maintaining the support of the rest of the family.
