Uber CEO retracts statement calling Khashoggi murder a 'mistake'

Uber CEO Khosrowshahi expressed regret for the statement where he called the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi Arabia a 'serious mistake'. The Saudi sovereign wealth fund PIF holds a 5 percent stake in Uber as of 2016, worth 3.5 billion USD, and the Uber CEO faced enormous backlash on Twitter for his words. He later took to Twitter to retract his statement and issued an apology.

Prosecutors in Istanbul have said that they have prepared an indictment against 20 suspects in the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Saudi Crown Prince hacked Amazon CEO's phone and stole large amounts of data

According to some insider sources, the Saudi Crown Prince hacked Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos' phone in 2018. The hack was used to extract a large amount of data from the phone within just a few hours although it is unknown what kind of data they were able to extract. This will likely hurt the country's attempts to gain more foreign investors.
