US to end drone program due to part made in China

The Trump administration has announced that it will be permanently ending a civilian drone program that employs about 1,000 drones, after concerns were raised by the Interior Department over parts of the technology being manufactured in China. Officials concluded that the threat of spying was too great to continue to use the drone technology, except in emergency situations such as combating wildfires and training.
