Venezuela Socialists shut opposition out, elect new Congress leader

Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro's Socialist party prevented opposition leaders from entering Congress by posting armed guards at the gates, after which they elected ousted official Luis Parra as new head of Congress. A defiant opposition party held its own elections in the headquarters of a national newspaper and elected Juan Guaido as leader for a second term.
