YouTube announces policy for removal of deepfakes, misinformation
With presidential elections looming in the United States, and the Iowa caucuses due to be held next week, YouTube and its parent company Google has announced a policy that will remove videos uploaded to the platform that can be classified as having been manipulatively edited in some way or attempt to misinform users about voting and census issues.
