Apple to pay massive settlement in a lawsuit alleging it intentionally slowed down older phones
Apple has agreed to pay $500 million to settle a lawsuit that alleged that the company was throttling its older phones in order to encourage customers to purchase newer models of their iPhone. Apple is also denying all wrongdoing and claims it is only settling to avoid the cost and burden of a lengthy trial.
