Vatican financial regulator head resigns after raids

Rene Bruelhart, head of the Vatican financial regulator for 5 years, resigned from his post weeks after the Vatican was shaken by police raids on the offices of his organization. Vatican police confiscated documents and computers, under the orders of prosecutor Gian Piero Milano who suspects a range of possible crimes of embezzlement, abuse of office, money laundering, and fraud. The Vatican has stated that Pope Francis will soon appoint Bruelhart's successor.

Angola government freezes assets of ex-president's daughter
