There are currently 200,000 voters on the Bougainville islands and they will all cast their ballots on 23rd November. In a statement released online, Apple Inc announced the construction of a new facility in Austin, Texas, located adjacent to the facility where they manufacture the new Macbook Pro laptops. Security concerns over technology company, Huawei, have led German telecom firm Deutsche Telekom to announce that it will begin phasing out the Chinese multinational company, Huawei's technology, in the coming two years. Elliptic, a London-based company supplying risk management systems for the cryptocurrency market, has stated that 400 million USD in XRP tokens, the currency used in the Ripple payment network, are believed to be connected to illegal transactions. Fritz von Weizsacker, son of former German president Richard von Weizsacker, an outstanding doctor and head of a clinic in Berlin was stabbed to death while delivering a medical lecture on liver fat at Schlosspark clinic. The attacker seated in the audience in the first row, jumped up in the middle of the lecture and stabbed von Weizsacker repeatedly. The attacker was tackled by 20 people and was stopped from fleeing.

Greece's new conservative government has announced plans for relocating more than 27,000 migrants residing in heavily crowded refugee camps on the islands of Lesbos, Chios, and Samos. The refugees will be relocated to closed centers where they will undergo checks for identification, relocation, and deportation. These places have been likened by campaigners to detention centers since refugees will not be allowed to move freely until their status confirmation.
