Google purchases big-data firm Looker in $2.6 billion deal

In a deal that has now successfully passed through the UK's competition regulations, Google and its parent company Alphabet have purchased big-data analytics company Looker Data Sciences in a 2.6 billion USD all-cash deal. Looker's analytics tool, which allows users to visualize large datasets without writing complex scripts, will work in tandem with Google Cloud's BigQuery tool which specialized in handling large datasets.
