Italian body initiates legal proceedings against Facebook

An Italian body in charge of overseeing the competition and ensuring proper commercial practices has initiated legal proceedings against Facebook, stating the company has failed to adequately comply with an earlier judgment. The judgment, issued in November 2018, fined Facebook 5 million EUR for improper treatment of user data and required the company to issue an amending statement to its Italy-specific homepage.
